The THERA FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization that was created in 1969, by Mr. Peter M. Nomikos. Thera was the ancient name of the Greek island of Santorini, which itself comes from the Dorian leader Theras, founder of the island in the 9th century B.C. Since 2005 Peter C. Nomikos Jr. has taken an increasing leadership position through a variety of new initiatives including those with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and University of Cincinnati Urban Planning Department.

Language
The official language of the Congress is English. There will be no translation available.
Accreditation
An application for accreditation units (CME credits) has been submitted.
Badge
Participants and accompanying persons are obliged to wear the official meeting badges on all occasions. There will be badge control.

Exhibition
Α large exhibition with medical devices and pharmaceutical products will take place in Santorini from Friday through Sunday. Access is free for registered participants and registered accompanying persons.

Participants with disabilities are kindly requested to contact the congress organizers.
Non-smoking Policy
World Spine V & World Spine 2010 Hands on Course will be a non-smoking Meeting. Smoking is prohibited in all Meeting areas and the exhibition.
Visa and Passports
EC citizens only need their national identification papers. Citizens from most other countries will need a valid travel passport. They are encouraged to contact their local Greek embassy or consulate to enquire about the necessity of visa application. A list of Greek embassies can be found at www.worldembassyinformation.com
